Q.
How Long Does a Can of MicroCare Solvent Last?
|
A.
|
http://www.microcare.com/faqdetails.aspx?faqid=105The correct answer is, it depends on what you are cleaning and how much you are cleaning and how well trained your people are. But that's not very informative, is it?
The key is to use the Trigger Grip™ dispensing system (shown here on a can of VeriClean™). In general, the Trigger Grip system will double or even triple the life of an aerosol can. This means in a normal manufacturing environment, where a competitive high-pressure aerosol might last 2-3 days working days, a can of PowerClean™ or VeriClean™ will last typically 5-10 working days. In the same scenario, a can of ProClean™ might last 15 days and a can of slow-drying Axarel® might last 20+ days.
In addiiton, to maximize can life and maximize savings, you should switch, whenever possible, to the slower-drying solvents. Such products include ProClean, Axarel, and IsoClean. Since they evaporate more slowly, operators have more time to work with the solvent, so consumption declines. The best way to track cleaning costs, then, is to divide the price of the can by the number of days it lasts or by the number of boards cleaned per can.
It's not the cost-per-can that really matters, it's the cost per-board-cleaned! And nothing cleans more affordably than the MicroCare Trigger Grip dispenser.
