Q.
Which Product Would You Recommend for Cleaning Soft Plastics?
|
A.
|
It depends upon the contamination, the surface you are trying to clean, and your local environmental regulations.
If materials compatibility in an electronics assembly is the key issue, VeriClean™ is your best choice. VeriClean is a good defluxer, a nice degreaser, and easily removes silicone residues. It's affordable, safe for people and the planet, and dries fairly slowly so you get a reasonable "tack time" to work with the solvent.
For general surface cleaning use the Plastic, Metal and Glass Cleaner. This cleaner is engineered without any detergents or soaps, so it evaporates completely and doesn't leave any sticky residues behind. It's affordable and highly effective -- sort of like a "Windex" on steriods.
If your cleaning any other precision surface, use the Precision Optical Cleaner or Contact Cleaner C. These both are ultra-pure, fast-drying, high-performance cleaners that are safe for every type of plastic, metal, glass and ceramic we've been able to test them on.
