Carrier Fluids and Lubricants
 MicroCare has developed a unique family of sophisticated cleaners, coatings and lubricants for metal, plastic and ceramic parts. These are engineered for the demanding requirements of the medical device industry. Because of the technical and regulatory complexities of the products, these are available through MicroCare Medical, a special division of MicroCare focused on the medical device industry.
The DuraGlide™ family of dry film lubricants are packaged for dip, spray or aerosol applications and are used to lubricate medical devices such as catheters, cutting tools, staplers, hypotubes, and complex assemblies where components slide against each other “surface to surface.” The SpecClean™ silicone carrier fluid provides a nonflammable, VOC-free cleaner and silicone swelling agent that is completely safe for plastics yet able to work with traditional silicone coatings. It replaces alipahtic solvents, aromatic organic solvents, ozone-depleting solvents and chlorinated solvents. Lastly, the newest product in the group is the SwellEx™ Silicone Swelling Fluid. This product gently softens and swells silicone tubing to speed assembly of tight fitting medical components. In a few minutes, the tubing returns to its normal size and strength.
These products can be used on a variety of medical devices, such as needles, syringes, blades or other devices that contact skin and require lubrication for better performance and patient comfort.
MicroCare Medical also offers a variety of precision cleaners for benchtop and automated cleaning processes, plus cleanroom wipes, sterilized isopropyl alcohol and other products tailored to the medical device industry. These products are not available from traditional MicroCare distributors.
