We are headquartered in central Connecticut accessible from both Greater Hartford and New Haven.  This position is Monday – Thursday 6am to 4:30pm.

Position Overview:

You will be a part of the MicroCare manufacturing team, responsible for the set-up, operation and break-down of production fill and package lines.  You will inspect goods prior to packaging and prepare them for shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the set-up and break-down of the various filling lines to manufacture all the different types of MicroCare products. 
  • Package, label, lot, and stack all products per instructions on the batch ticket. 
  • Inspect all finished products for complete accuracy and possible imperfections. 
  • Move raw materials and finished goods around warehouse with propane powered forklift. 
  • Maintain clean work environment. 
  • Responsible for daily trash and cardboard disposal. 
  • Help in other areas of warehouse as needed. 
  • Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participating in company safety trainings. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies/Experience:

  • Ability to read and follow detailed batch ticket instructions.
  • Mathematically competent.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work independently.
  • Warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing work experience.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  
  • Basic computer skills preferred. 
  • Able to read, write and speak English.  
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Complete facility specific Operator Position training per the MicroCare Training and Development Matrix and perform any additional responsibilities per the Matrix.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical blending and packaging experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing conveyor systems.
  • Mechanical abilities.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to observe and provide process improvement guidance/suggestions.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting required of up to 60 lbs. unassisted and over 60 lbs. with lifting aides.
  • Frequently stands, walks, stoops, crouches, climbs, pushes, and pulls. 
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Work environment subject to seasonal temperature variation.
