MicroCare Corporation Celebrates 30th Anniversary

October 11 2013. MicroCare Corp marked its 30th anniversary with a companywide gathering of employees, vendors and friends at the Farmington Country Club in Farmington, CT. The evening was highlighted by a large display of products, advertisements and photographs dating back to the start of the business.

MicroCare was started in 1983 with one employee. It was originally located in Farmington, CT in a drafty trucking company warehouse. According to company president and founder Christopher A. Jones, the MicroCare plan was to sell aerosol-packaged cleaners into the “fast growing computer market, in a time when there were no cell phones and no computers”. MicroCare grew rapidly selling to the many hi-tech companies located in New England. It quickly built a reputation for excellent customer service and technical support.

Through the years, MicroCare has grown into a global business with over 100 products. Having long outgrown the drafty warehouse, the state-of-the-art MicroCare headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing facilities are now located in New Britain, CT. “We have come a long way” said Jones, “We now have nearly 50 full-time employees, hundreds of distributors, and warehouses in the USA, Europe and Asia”

From its unassuming start 30 years ago, MicroCare continues its strong commitment to outstanding customer service and technical support. In addition to the aerosol-packaged cleaners, MicroCare also markets precision cleaning fluids, specialty lubricants, and carrier fluids. All are essential in the manufacture and functionality of a wide variety of medical devices, printed circuit boards, industrial goods, aerospace components and communications equipment.
