Join the 'Race In the Park' for Breast Cancer Research

Eighteen MicroCare people have volunteered to participate in the 15th annual Race In the Park to raise money for the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative. The team is raising funds for research; currently our team is in 3rd place. The “MicroCare Cares” team, so far, has recruited 32 people and produced $2,740 in donations.

This year the race is being held on Mother’s Day weekend, which is becoming a bit of a local tradition — this year it’s Saturday, May 12, 2018.

MicroCare has long promoted public service within the communities where we operate. We hope to improve the lives of everyone by supporting important initiatives in education, health, and environmental improvement.

At the Race In the Park our goal is to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer. Everybody is affected by breast cancer, which means everybody can help fight it. We think the end of breast cancer begins with research. With each step taken, we move closer and closer to finding a cure.

Please consider joining our team to walk or run (there actually are four different races, for different age groups and skills) or supporting the team with a donation. Make a tax-deductible donation to: the CONNECTICUT BREAST HEALTH INITIATIVE, INC., 185 Main St, New Britain, CT 06051. Volunteers and runners get a shirt custom-designed by our very own Miranda Nocera to “flock cancer”. It’s sure to be a fun day!
