What color range should I expect to see in Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant?

Spec Clean Ready-to-Use Disinfectant typically appears nearly clear to light golden brown in color. Because the product contains synthetic phenolics, which are naturally tan to brown, some variation in color is normal and expected during the product’s shelf life.

Exposure to heat, light, and air may accelerate color changes over time. If Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant becomes a medium brown color similar to tea, users should check the product expiration date, which is stamped on every container. Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant has a two-year shelf life from the date of manufacture when stored as directed.

Even with slight color variation, Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant remains an EPA-registered intermediate-level disinfectant designed for healthcare, dental, office, school, spa, gym, and clinical environments. The ready-to-use disinfectant is formulated for cleaning and disinfecting hard, non-porous surfaces and devices, including countertops, stainless steel, vinyl, plastics, glass, dental units, exam tables, wheelchairs, IV poles, infusion equipment, and other high-touch surfaces.

Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and is effective against many viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens in one minute, with a five-minute tuberculocidal contact time. Its water-based, alcohol-free, bleach-free, and ammonium-free formula helps reduce surface damage while supporting infection prevention and healthcare disinfection protocols.
