Will Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant stain surfaces?

No, Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant is formulated as a non-staining healthcare disinfectant for use on hard, non-porous surfaces commonly found in medical, dental, office, school, spa, gym, and clinical environments. The EPA-registered intermediate-level disinfectant is compatible with many materials, including countertops, stainless steel, metals, vinyl, plastics, glass, dental units, exam tables, wheelchairs, IV poles, infusion equipment, keyboards, phones, and other high-touch surfaces.

After repeated routine use, some residue from surfactants in the disinfectant formula may accumulate on surfaces over time. This residue can be easily minimized by wiping treated surfaces with water and paper towels at least once per week as part of regular surface maintenance and cleaning protocols.

Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant contains active ingredients that may interact with bleach products and could create permanent staining on porous materials or textiles if combined. To help prevent discoloration, surfaces, fabrics, or clothing should be thoroughly rinsed before applying bleach-based cleaning or disinfecting products.

Designed for healthcare surface disinfection and infection prevention, Spec Clean™ Ready-to-Use Disinfectant provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial performance with one-minute disinfection against many viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens and a five-minute tuberculocidal contact time. Its water-based, alcohol-free, ammonium-free, and bleach-free formula helps reduce the risk of surface damage while supporting effective cleaning and disinfection procedures.
