Report from the Market: the 2017 Southern California SMTA Expo

The 2017 Southern California SMTA expo convened on Nov. 2nd in Long Beach, CA for a busy and exciting show. There were about 40 exhibiting companies which included manufacturers, reps and service companies. The floor traffic was busy and the MicroCare team spoke with decision-makers from Northrop, local OEMs and contract manufacturers. All the array of MicroCare products were on display using a colorful MCC table cloth and a pop-up display.

One of the attendees was a consultant for process improvement in SMT manufacturing who chatted with Keith Sanducci, MicroCare West Coast Regional Manager (photo, right). Keith reports this individual really liked the MicroCare stencil cleaning products and also the Reflow Oven Cleaner, which he claimed was best product on the market for that application.

Also at the show was Stellar Technical, a regional MicroCare electronics distributor, who recently expanded their sales force and their team enjoyed some training at our booth.

MicroCare supported the SMTA with a raffle gift of a $100 AMEX gift card. It was so very generous that it was announced as the last of the raffle prizes. This really turned everyone’s head!

We look forward to the sister SMTA expo coming up in Northern California the end of November. It is sold out, with over 55 exhibitors! There has not been a show in Northern California for over five years so there is significant anticipation and excitement, and MicroCare is confident it will be an equally great experience.
