Vapor Degreasing Attracts Crowds at SMTConnect
MicroCare Europe attended SMTConnect in Nuremberg once again this year. Nuremberg is an excellent venue, located at the heart of the German electronics industry and also convenient for other central European countries where MicroCare has a strong presence. It is very much a meeting place for many of our distributors and this year was no exception.
Whether by design or good fortune, the return of the show to the earlier date of the first week of May instead of June, and perhaps the avoidance of public holidays, meant that the show was considerably better attended than last year.
The show was well attended by potential new customers from all around Europe including the Baltic countries, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy and the UK.
The MicroCare presence at the show, particularly with our high-quality booth gave us a very high profile and an excellent meeting place to connect with our customers and distributors.
Once again, along with our bench top cleaning products we had a CC Hydrosonics vapor degreaser in the booth. “The machine brings many people to the booth, some who are simply curious and others with a genuine interest in vapor de-greasing technology,” Steve Playdon, MicroCare European Business Manager for Electronics, observed. “The effect is very noticeable and it is very exciting to see the building interest in the Tergo cleaning fluid product line.”
In addition to our booth and our three distributors displaying MicroCare products, we also had a presence on the IPC hand soldering competition. IPC are now focusing on cleaning as a part of their process and it was notable how popular the soldering competitions are becoming.
In conclusion, SMTConnect was a resounding success this year and we look forward to exhibiting at the show again in 2020.
