Building Trust at MIM 2020

MicroCare concluded the MIM 2020 Expo on March 4th in Irvine, CA.

MIM is not a typical trade show. It is a three-day, very intensive technical conference with just a few hours devoted product showcases.

In addition to the technical presentations, the show provides an excellent opportunity to network, discuss opportunities, product development, and market conditions.

In addition to meeting with visitors personally, Rob Lee, MicroCare Senior Market and Technical Manager, gave a group presentation on the benefits of Tergo MCF (Metal Cleaning Fluid). Rob’s presentation prompted visitors to visit the MicroCare booth to discuss their specific cleaning and debinding needs regarding Tergo MCF.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, attendance at the show was down from last year. However, there were visitors from four continents representing MIM, PIM, CIM, and 3D (Additive Manufacturing/ AM) technologies.

For the most part, the MIM 2020 attendees held their proprietary projects close to the vest. However, it was a perfect opportunity to begin, or to continue to develop, trust and working relationships with them. The MicroCare team will follow up later with personal visits to attendees' facilities or via private teleconferences.

The MicroCare booth clearly highlighted fluid debinding by showcasing our Tergo™ line of fluids for use in a vapor degreaser.

“We were able to talk with many companies about their challenges with debinding,” said Don Phifer, MicroCare Senior Technical Sales Representative. “As the industry continues to struggle with debinding waxes through aqueous and thermal applications, there is a growing interest in the benefits Tergo™ MCF can create.”

We look forward to working with those we met at the show and plan to attend MIM 2021 next year.
