“Greener” Cleaning is Focus of the 2019 SMTA International Conference

The SMTA International Conference and Exhibition in Chicago, IL concluded on September 25, 2019.

Although attendance was lighter than in previous years, the show provided a valuable outlet for the MicroCare team to share their critical cleaning expertise and to spotlight “greener” cleaning methods and MicroCare products.

A Crest vapor degreaser was on display in the booth and the team conducted live cleaning demonstrations throughout the day. Rob Lee, MicroCare Senior Market & Technical Manager and vapor degreasing expert was on hand to answer questions about this environmentally-friendly technology for SMT critical cleaning. Tergo™ High Performance Flux Remover, specifically engineered for high-volume production cleaning was featured.

“When used together with highly advanced cleaning fluids like Tergo™ High Performance Flux Remover, vapor degreasing is a very effective method to clean PCBs,” said Lee. “Tergo™ High Performance Flux Remover is kinder on the planet thanks to its excellent toxicity profiles for low global warming impact.  It also delivers consistent and reliable cleaning, even on difficult-to-remove ‘no-clean’ fluxes and other solder pastes. This modern cleaning fluid is a long-term and sustainable answer to the difficult cleaning issues facing production engineers today.”

Many visitors from the electronics manufacturing community stopped by the MicroCare booth to learn more about vapor degreasing fluids as well as the line of MicroCare benchtop cleaning fluids including the No-Clean Flux Remover-VeriClean™ and the Alcohol-Enhanced Flux Remover - ProClean™.
