Marufur Rahim - The Obstacle Eliminator

Technical Laboratory Director, Marufur Rahim has been with MicroCare since April, 2022. He manages our state-of-the-art Critical Cleaning Lab and is responsible for all laboratory staff, equipment and supplies. He oversees production and quality analysis activities associated with the ongoing manufacture of MicroCare products. He also leads the research and development activities for all new MicroCare technologies including creating patents and protecting company intellectual property.

Marufur is a critical cleaning expert and is instrumental in defining MicroCare’s manufacturing parameters, establishing long-term testing protocols and developing programs to analyze results for the specialty cleaning products MicroCare sells.

He supports the lab team in finding ways to help our customers clean better, faster and safer. Using customer-supplied parts, the team in conducts cleaning trials using various fluids and procedures. And then recommends the right ones that work best for our customer and their particular critical cleaning problem.

Years of Experience

Maruf came to MicroCare with over 20 years of experience in technical direction and management.  Before coming to MicroCare, he held director and manager roles at Chemence, Dymax, Selena, and Henkel among others. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Vermont and an MS in Technology Management from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Mentoring for Team Goals

Maruf is proud to serve as a mentor and enjoys guiding other chemists in their work and careers. He takes a team approach to his work. He says, "Whether it’s brainstorming new ideas, consulting with customers or researching and refining brand-new chemistries, I enjoy problem solving with my fellow chemists. I'm always looking for ways to remove obstacles and help all achieve their team or individual goals."

Life Outside the Lab

Outside the lab Maruf enjoys his weekends working in the garden, watching sports, skiing or playing the occasional game of basketball or soccer when he gets the chance.
