Ernesto Pollano - Salt of the Earth Sales Manager
When people meet Ernesto Pollano for the first time, they instantly come away with a positive impression. Upright. Solid. Friendly. Ethical. Curious. These might be some of the traits which come to mind when you first meet Ernesto, the General Sales Manager, Mexico/LATAM.

Early Days
Ernesto was raised just outside of Guadalajara, Mexico. He studied at the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara earning his degree in International Business Management. “I grew up in a very traditional family in Guadalajara and spent the first 26 years of my life there,” he recalled.
After graduation, Ernesto went to work at Flextronics in Guadalajara as a Traffic Analyst for their Imports Department, handling over 200 air shipments every day. “Flextronics was a great first job,” Ernesto recalled. “My superiors and peers showed me how to make the most of my time in order to get complete customer satisfaction.”
Time with Techni-Tool
In 2006, Ernesto moved to Tijuana, to pursue a job opportunity with Techni-Tool as Territory Manager in San Diego, California, and the Baja California region. “I was part of that team for almost 13 years, and learned so much from my mentors and peers during my time there,” Ernesto reflected.
While at Techni-Tool Ernesto won the Presidents Club Award two years in a row. He was also earned “Salesperson of the Year” which included a prize trip to Hawaii and Australia for his hard work and effort.
The MicroCare Values
After Techni-Tool, Ernesto wanted to take the next step. “I have very high standards when it comes to life and work ethics, so when I saw an opportunity with MicroCare as Western Mexico Regional Sales Manager in 2018, I jumped at the chance to join the team,” Ernesto explained.
MicroCare appealed to Ernesto because of the company’s customer focus and the supportive working environment. “Ethics, integrity and innovation, those values combined with the dedication MicroCare has to solving their customer’s cleaning headaches is the reason why I’m with MicroCare today,” Ernesto said.
The Problem-Solving Approach to Sales
Problem solving is the core of Ernesto’s sales approach. “For me, it’s all about adding value by bringing the right solution to a customer’s problem,” Ernesto said. Forming strong, long-term customer relationships is also key for him. “Being a true, honest partner to my customers makes all the difference.”
Sales – It’s Not What You Think
For Ernesto, selling is a lot of fun. He enjoys visiting customers, learning about their businesses and how MicroCare can help them solve their critical cleaning problems. “Sales is so much more than making phone calls. You get to talk to and learn from so many different people in a variety of industries,” he explained. “Whether I’m learning about airplane parts or the next new medical device, it’s incredibly interesting.”
In 2022, Ernesto received a promotion and now serves as our General Sales Manager for Mexico and Latin America.
A Proud Family Man
Ernesto has been married to his wife and best friend Cristina for over a decade. They have two lovely daughters of whom they are tremendously proud. The Pollanos also share their busy, active home with their pup, Kalua.
When not working, Ernesto enjoys spending weekends with his wife and the girls (including Kalua). They like going to parks, taking small trips or having friends over for a BBQ. He also enjoys watching soccer, all the Star Wars movies and reading – political novels and world history being some of his favorites.
