Key Account Manager, Medical Infection Prevention

Charlie Campbell - The Positive Impactor

As a Key Account Manager for our medical infection prevention line, Charlie is responsible for nurturing our existing customer base and bringing new customers within the medical market to MicroCare.

Medial Supply Solutions Right from the Start

Charlie started his career with PSS World Medical/Gulf South Medical, a national distributor as a sales representative.  He spent fifteen years there providing medical supply solutions within the post-acute market.  He then spent 6 years as National Strategic Account Manager with Angelini Pharma.  At Angelini his focus was managing distribution partners and large end user customers within the Nephrology market. Then the MicroCare opportunity came along, and was a very good match for Charlie and MicroCare.

A Company with a Forward Vision

The people, the work culture and the vision of the company attracted Charlie to MicroCare. “MicroCare is a very forward-thinking company and that is appealing to a salesperson. They keep their eye on what’s happening in the world, what future trends are evolving and then research and develop around their findings. Innovation and new products are the life-blood of MicroCare,” he explains.

Impacting Others Through Sales

For many years now, Charlie’s focus is on improving patients’ lives.  “As I progressed in my career, I realized that providing a product or service that can positively affect the health of a patient is very rewarding.  Products not only touch the patient using them but also loved ones and family members, too. MicroCare also understands this. The essential, quality products we provide have a direct impact on those around us,” Charlie explained.

More than Sales

At Charlie’s last company before joining MicroCare, he played a key role in helping them navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.  He developed and oversaw their product allocation strategy and worked with his supply chain partners domestically and in Europe to ensure product availability and timely deliveries. “I learned so much about the supply chain process.  Including logistics, shipping, containers, ports, raw materials, all far beyond my traditional sales responsibilities. Having that experience reinforced to me the importance of relationships and clear communications, not only in sales, but all areas of business,” Charlie said.

Charlie earned his BS in Criminology from Florida State University.

He lives with his wife and three children and Beagle mix dog in southwest Florida, but uses the MicroCare office in Denver as his base headquarters.

Family and Sports

When not working, Charlie can be found at the gym, field or swimming pool, keeping up with his kids’ sports events including football, soccer and baseball games and swim meets. As a family they enjoy the beach and anything outdoors including snorkeling, kayaking, traveling and spending time with friends.

Charlie is a big Florida State Seminoles fan and likes to attend the home games in Tallahassee and the occasional road game when his busy family schedule allows.
