John Stardellis
John Stardellis - The Entrepreneurial CFO
As CFO, John oversees the finance and accounting functions at MicroCare. He is responsible for our company's financial business planning and process changes to drive strategic growth and efficient operational scaling. John plays an integral part in determining our future MicroCare financial success.
“MicroCare is the coolest company around. It provies provides essential products to the industries that impact our daily lives.”
Making a Quick Impact
John started his career with a “Big 6” public accounting firm and became a CPA. He then progressed in various finance leadership roles with large multi-national corporations. After twenty years, John has deep experience in global and operational finance. But as his expertise grew, John wanted a different kind of challenge.
“As I progressed in my career, I realized I wanted to be a CFO of a stand-alone, smaller company because of the entrepreneurship and ability to make a quick impact. Then the MicroCare opportunity came along, and It was a very good match,” John explained.
Having a Seat at the Table
Just before joining MicroCare, John served as CFO of i-Health, a global consumer health and wellness company. They successfully managed through the COVID-19 pandemic, and even met their planned 2020 sales and profit targets. John is proud of the role he played in co-steering the operations of the business, in the absence of a CEO, to keep the company on target.
John is happy to now share that expertise with MicroCare. He is proud that the MicroCare finance team “shares a seat at the table” and integrates seamlessly with all of the other departments. Because of his diverse background, array of skills and strong track record of delivering results, John is very comfortable collaborating and sharing insights, especially on how financial decisions impact overall corporate issues, sometimes far outside of financial business results.
“I am not your typical finance person as I enjoy the business side and can be just as comfortable talking about sales and manufacturing as I am finances,” he said.
Since joining MicroCare, John has strengthened the finance team and is proud how they are contributing to the growth of the company.
Exciting Times and Continued Growth
It’s clear that John enjoys working at MicroCare and looks forward to the continued growth of the company. “MicroCare is the coolest company around. It provides essential products to the industries that impact our daily lives,” John said.
“The values, customer focus and drive for growth of the company are inspiring. MicroCare is a strong business with a very exciting future ahead. I’m happy to share in the continued growth of the company and to have a role in contributing to its future strategic direction,” he concluded.
On a Personal Note
John earned his BA in Economics and Political Science at University of Rochester and an MBA and MS in Accounting at Northeastern University.
He lives in CT, about 40 minutes from corporate headquarters, with his wife, their two sons and Ari, a mischeivous Cockapoo. Outside the office, John enjoys spending his weekends with the family, watching his NY sports teams, reading books on history, golfing, outdoor grilling and working on projects around the house.
He's looking forward to more travel. One family trip he is extremely proud of was a trip to Greece to show his children their heritage and historical sites, like the Parthenon; an adventure John won’t soon forget.
